Branded Spaces @ DockerCon

We partnered with Jack Morton Worldwide to extend the brand experience at DockerCon 2018. Together with their world-class creative team, and our friends at Skiff, we designed and built immersive spaces to connect DockerCon attendees with the brand in ways that were unexpected and illuminating.

The Containerization Journey

The experiential pods represented a figurative navigation system that helps to understand one’s journey with Docker’s tools. This containerization journey is represented as a series of four stages: getting started, first project, scale out, and innovation. This system helps Docker to to include anyone from the lone wolf to the small dev team to a large enterprise, such that any app can be placed at a certain stage of their customer journey.

Our task with the four experience pods was to add a tactile sensation to these four stages, so that attendees could walk through the Docker containerization journey and capture some shareable moments along the way. We created four room-scale environments with varying levels of complexity to help communicate the messaging of the event.
